In what I think might be the worst idea that I have ever heard, Guy Ritchie has been tapped to take on the LOBO film. What is the bad idea? Ritchie is known for his stylized violence. The problem is, Warner/DC want this incarnation of LOBO to be, you guessed it, PG-13!With all the recent news and attention on Disney's Marvel deal, one wonders if this is an attempt by WB to shine the light on their productions. The picture is set to begin next year. Don Payne will pen the script (The Simpsons, Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer, My Super Ex-Girlfriend), with Joel Silver, Akiva Goldsman, and Andrew Rona producing.
